    Bouchard Finlayson is widely acclaimed as one of South Africa’s leading boutique wine cellars.

    With a terroir defined by both ancient soils and a cool maritime climate, the vineyards of Bouchard Finlayson are famous for producing award-winning
    Pinot Noir, elegant Chardonnay and terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc, while inspired blends showcase the depth of skill and innovation in our winemaking team.

    The Bouchard Finlayson cellar is conveniently located a scenic 90 minutes’ drive from Cape Town, close to the world-famous whale-watching centre of Hermanus.

    This park has a special place in the heart of Geneva’s citizens. Its paths are the perfect place for an idyllic stroll in the centre of the city. Part of the park is the site of the Flower Clock and the National Monument commemorating Geneva’s integration into the Swiss Confederation. In the centre, a giant bronze fountain offers cool water to young and old.

    Parc des Eaux-Vives

    As one of Geneva’s oldest parks, it offers a fantastic view of the lake. In the 16th century, the property was out in the countryside. It has been part of the Eaux-Vives district since 1912. The green lawns and numerous old trees invite nature lovers to take a stroll. The manor house is a renowned hotel and a gourmet restaurant where you can enjoy a drink or meal with an exceptional view of the lake and the Jura mountains.

    Parc de la Grange

    The Parc La Grange is the single largest green space in Geneva and some will agree that it's also the most beautiful. It is famous for it's biggest rose garden in Geneva. A rich Roman settled in the park around 50-60 AD, remnants of this distant time have been preserved, you can see roman vestiges hidden behind the 18th Century villa. The last occupier was politician and arts enthusiast William Favre who entrusted the park to the City of Geneva in 1918.

    A few steps away from the Palais Wilson on the right side of the lake, you can walk to the Perle du Lac park, on the way to the botanical gardens. Cyclists cycle, joggers jog and people stroll along the paths crossing this green oasis. The park was named by the wife of its former owner, Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf. In summer, relax in freely available deck chairs and enjoy a refreshing drink facing Mont-Blanc.

    Ile Rousseau

    Ile Rousseau

    What is today the romantic Rousseau Island has had a turbulent past. At the end of the 16th century it served as a stronghold for the city. In 1628, it was transformed into a shipyard. Then in 1832, during the construction of the Pont des Bergues bridge which formed a walkway to the island, it was named after the philosopher and writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Now a public garden, it is the perfect place for a short break!

    Below the Old Town, in the heart of the city Geneva has created its first botanical garden. In and around the Parc des Bastions you will find the world-renowned Reformation Wall and the leading reformers, the Palais Eynard, seat of the city government, and the old university building with its library. The former bandstand is now a restaurant. On its side, a giant checkers game and chessboard attract players and spectators alike.
