After many years abroad, I started working at Hotel d’Angleterre in 2001, just before it became part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, first at the reception, then in charge of finance, before taking up the position of Deputy General Manager. With passion and enthusiasm, I will be on hand to ensure that it remains a unique boutique hotel at all times, thanks to its exceptional Swiss hospitality tradition and its incredibly dedicated team who look after the well-being of our guests.

After being Sous-Chef for five years at Restaurant Windows, it is now with pride that I express my culinary creativity alongside the dishes of Madame Beatrice Tollman, founder of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection. My cuisine is a world cuisine, made up of regional products, and inspired by sharing and friendship moments I have encountered during my many travels.

I have worked in the hospitality industry since the age of 17, at some of the most famous hotels in Bern, Lausanne and Geneva. After joining the Hotel d’Angleterre team in 1995, my aim, along with the reservations and reception team, is “to ensure that every guest receives the very best welcome and service”. Born into a family of hoteliers, I followed the steps of my grandfather and my father by studying at the Hospitality School of Thonon-les-Bains. I joined Hotel d’Angleterre for new challenges, starting as Maitre D' and was soon promoted to Food & Beverage Manager, 2 years later. I have devoted my time to ensure that we provide our guests with unforgettable experiences through Red Carnation Hotel Collection's core values.

With accolades including Best Sommelier in France 2020 and Best Sommelier of Switzerland 2022, Julien's journey into the world of wine began unexpectedly during his tenure as Chef de Rang in a restaurant in the South of France. Passionate about sharing the intricacies of winemaking with guests, Julien's expertise shines as he navigates the diverse landscape of French, South African, and Swiss wines at our renowned Windows restaurant, ensuring unforgettable experiences for every palate.
