In French "Le Lac Léman” means the whole lake, referring to the lake in its entirety rather than its position within the city of Geneva. "Le Lac de Genève" technically refers only to the part of the lake that twists round towards Geneva, so Lac Léman - or Lake Leman - is a more common local term than Lake Geneva, which became popular following the rise of Geneva.
Hotel d’Angleterre’s renowned Windows Restaurant offers an optimal viewpoint of Lac Léman. Framing enchanting, panoramic views of the lake and Mont Blanc, Windows Restaurant serves contemporary cuisine, with a selection of world dishes made with fresh and seasonal produce.
A MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience
Windows’ thoughtful menu showcases the bounty of the area with the use of seasonal, local ingredients. Our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience highlights this local focus with an enjoyable fishing trip. You will then take your catch back to Executive Chef Alexandre Cardiga, who will prepare a sublime three-course lunch for you to enjoy. Lunch will be served with paired wines in Windows Restaurant, overlooking the lake and the Jet d’Eau.
